Description of the Chubu region
What is the Chubu region?
A region in central Honshu, one of the regions of Japan.
This is a tentative name for the area between the Kanto and Tohoku regions and the Kinki region, but not classified as any of these.
Prefectures included in the Chubu region

It consists of nine prefectures : Niigata Prefecture, Toyama Prefecture, Ishikawa Prefecture, Fukui Prefecture, Yamanashi Prefecture, Nagano Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, Shizuoka Prefecture, Aichi Prefecture.(various theories exist)
